More Easter Cooking - With Miss Five

Miss Five is now at school.
She had a bit of a wobbly start to school with quite a bit of separation anxiety going on.

She spends three afternoons a week with me.

Yesterday afternoon she decorated some milk arrowroot biscuits with glace icing.

And of course, we couldn't forget the obligatory Easter egg.

They are now bagged and tagged ready for giving on Easter Sunday.

This morning I had my first attempt at decorating with royal icing.

I need a new craft like I need a hole in the head...seriously!

I decorated yesterday's chocolate pops with some left over white royal icing...for the kids.

I think I've over committed myself!

I've cooked Easter goodies every day this week.

I baked some Figolli yesterday which I decorated this morning.

After I had finished icing them I realized I'd forgotten the Easter egg!

Luckily I still had some icing over to glue them to the cakes.

As you can see...I still need lots of practise...

The truth is though...I don't really have the patience for this type of fiddly craft!

I hope you all have a safe and happy holiday season and that you get to spend lots of time with family and friends.

  1. What an array of goodies! I was pleased you gave a link, I had not heard of Figolli before.
