Heat Wave!

All but finished my "Australian Native Animals" quilt for my Grand Daughter. I need to make a label to attach to the back of the quilt.
The border is made using Kaffe Fassett fabric.
Presently, I'm working on a Very Hungry Caterpillar quilt which originally was also for my Grand Daughter but may turn out to be my first commission.  Will keep you posted on its progress.
I'm also working on a hand pieced scrappy quilt which will be a long term project, and something to work on at night.

The temperature today, reached 39oC+, more hot weather to follow for the remainder of the week.
The house is not air conditioned so I'm not looking forward to it!
The garden suffers so much from the high temperatures but I'm amazed at how quickly my zucchini grow because of the heat and all the recent rain the local area has had.

Welcome.

Life is full of simple pleasures.
Food, family, a home in the mountains and a beautiful day.
Enjoyed virgin olive oil infused with lemon myrtle essential oil, balsamic vinegar, dukka and some of my experimental wheat free sour dough under the banksia tree in the herb garden.
